Uptown Theatre to reopen with revival of venue’s original performance
NAPA Uptown Theatre members can purchase tickets for upcoming shows beginning at noon Wednesday.
The first show is “Big Bad Voodoo Daddy,” scheduled Aug. 20. “Big Bad Voodoo Daddy” was the first show when the Uptown Theatre opened May 14, 2010.
More shows will be announced Tuesday.
The Uptown Box Office will remain closed for at least the month of June. Ticketmaster.com is the only ticket outlet for the time being.
The Uptown Theatre staff will be fully vaccinated before returning to work.
All concert attendees must be vaccinated or show a negative Covid-19 test within 48 hours of the show. No refunds will be offered for those who do not comply. This is subject to change based on the latest information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities.
Longtime Grand Prairie City Manager Tom Hart announced this week he will retire after 22 years of managing the city. Hart will retire at the end of October.
