Drake touches turns to gold. It has been announced he and the
Canopy Growth Corporation have parted ways.

HipHopDX the Toronto, Ontario, Canada native is no longer in business with CGC. For those who need their memories jogged back in November 2019 Drizzy announced a new partnership in the name of the More Life Growth Company. The venture was billed as it being “centered around wellness, discovery, and overall personal growth with the hope of facilitating connections and shared experiences across the globe.”

Drake had first teased the launch of More Life Growth Company back on November 5th, 2019. Agreements between the two included the details of the Free Smoke rapper holding sixty percent of More Life, while Canopy Growth held the other forty percent. In a press release for the More Life and Canopy Growth team up, Drake stated the idea of being able to build something special in an industry that is ever growing has been inspiring. A lot of celebs have invested and created companies in the cannabis industry. Drake even hopped on board. He partnered with a company, Canopy Growth Corp. However, after working together for a little more than a year, the company is ending their partnership with Drake, according to Bloomberg. The company decided to terminate the partnership with Drake s More Life Growth Co to sell the legal weed in Canada and the global market. Jennifer White, director of communications for Canopy Growth said, We have indeed divested from More Life and the facility in Scarborough which had been intended to be part of that agreement is now Canopy Growth’s R&D facility, where we will work on plant science and science development projects. The company said they took $8.6 million impairment charge fiscal 2021 and considering how many people lost jobs during the pandemic, people probably weren t buying as much weed.
