MyUBAT expanded to all MOH health facilities nationwide 28 Apr 2021 / 18:40 H. KUALA LUMPUR: The medication supply management system for pharmacy value-added services (MyUBAT), which allows patients to monitor the supply and use of their medications through the MyUBAT app on their smartphones has been expanded to all Ministry of Health (MOH) health facilities since April 15. Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah ( pix) said the system also makes it easier for the staff at pharmaceutical facilities to manage the registration process and prepare the patients’ medications at the counters more systematically. He said MyUBAT, which was launched on Aug 12 last year, was implemented as a pilot project at seven MOH facilities, namely the Ampang Hospital, Melaka Hospital, Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital, Kelana Jaya Health Clinic and Peringgit Health Clinic.

Firemen to the rescue after fall leaves tap head lodged in teen s abdomen

MELAKA: Seven firemen here rushed to attend a distress call to rescue a teenager after a copper tap head was left lodged in the right side of a 14-year-old s abdomen. Melaka Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Soon We Kiang said Merlimau fire station senior operations officer Asst Supt Mohamad Faisal Fuad did not know how the household tap head could have punctured and remained lodged in the victim s stomach. Soon said the freak incident occurred at about 8.45pm on Thursday (April 22). He said the victim, who was at a religious school in Kampung Serkam Timur in Merlimau, had to endure pain for almost 20 minutes before rescuers managed to cut the tap from the pipe.

Driver whose vehicle rammed into roadside stall tests positive for drugs

MELAKA: The 47-year-old driver who rammed into a roadside stall in Klebang here Sunday (April 18) was found to have been driving under the influence of drugs. Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Afzanizar Ahmad said the driver, who is from Kelantan and had no valid driving licence, was believed to have lost control of his vehicle before ramming into the stall at 5.15pm Sunday, seriously injuring three. The three were preparing orders for the breaking of the fast at the roadside stall along Jalan Limbongan here. ACP Afzanizar identified the injured as 57-year-old Norazizah Jenal from Kampung Limbongan, Klebang Kecil, who sustained leg injuries; her daughter Nurul Ayu Umairah Samsuddin, 15, who sustained injuries to the right shoulder, stomach and her 13-year-old son Muhammad Aliff Hazimie Samsuddin, who sustained injuries on his left leg.
