To celebrate the reopening and refurbishment of Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library, LA County Library and Supervisor Janice Hahn will host an Open House on July 21 from 11 am to 1 pm.
The Open House will feature an outdoor activity for children and teens, a walkthrough of the library’s newly refurbished space, and special messages from Supervisor Janice Hahn, LA County Library Director Skye Patrick, and the local community.
Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library’s refurbishment was made possible by the generous support of Supervisor Hahn’s 4th Supervisorial District Capital Fund. The $1 million plus refurbishment project started on November 1, 2019 and was completed on November 1, 2020. Supervisors to Reconsider Current Ban on Commercial Cannabis in Unincorporated LA County

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has voted to support a proposal by Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn to reconsider the current ban on commercial cannabis production and distribution in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.
“It has been three long years since we decided to keep the cannabis ban in place in the unincorporated area and a lot has changed,” said Supervisor Janice Hahn, who authored the motion today. “We’ve seen how legalization has played out in cities in our own county and we have seen states across the country move in the direction of legalizing, taxing, and regulating cannabis. It may be time for us to join them.”
