Four new COVID-19 cases and four recoveries reported Monday

Today, June 28, Nova Scotia is reporting four new cases of COVID-19 and four recoveries. Three cases are in Eastern Zone. Two are under investigation and the other is a close contact of a previously reported case. The other case is in Central Zone and is under investigation. There is limited community spread in Central Zone. Eastern, Northern and Western Zones continue to be closely monitored for community spread. Vaccine uptake continues to be high, but we are aiming to have at least 85 per cent of eligible Nova Scotians vaccinated, said Premier Iain Rankin. If you have not yet received your COVID-19 vaccine, it is important to get your first dose as soon as possible to protect your loved ones and your community.

Just a few months ago we were experiencing the highest rates of COVID-19 that we ve ever seen in the province. COVID-19 variants can spread much quicker and more easily, so we need to do what we can to prevent it from spreading- get tested, get vaccinated and continue to follow the public health measures.
