A 26-YEAR-old Cardigan man who damaged a door valued at £90 belonging to a housing association has received a six-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to criminal damage. Aaron Neil Hopkins, of 37 Golwg Y Castell, was said to have committed the offence on October 10, 2020, when the case came before Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre. The defendant was also ordered to pay £90 compensation to Wales and West Housing Association, along with a £22 victim’s surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
