In our weekly series, Gemma Bibby and Amy Hall bring you 10 photos that were in the news exactly 10 years ago… It was celebrations for Nairn County in the 2011 Fosters Highland League Cup Final as they battled it out against Fraserburgh at Princess Royal Park in Banff. The game ended 4-0 meaning the side were lifting their second cup.

Darryl in West Sand Lake Hey guys looking for a little advice here.  Quick back story:  My girlfriend and I had been dating for 3 years when back in February I asked her to marry me. Luckily for me- and thanks to the pandemic - I proposed to her inside my apartment and not out in public.  Because she said No.    It wasn t like a hard no she explained by it saying that she just wasn t ready.  As you can imagine, it took the wind right out of my sails and even though we re still together, I feel a lot less confident about our future because of it.  So here s my question to you guys: If a man proposes to a woman and she says NO, is the relationship over?

St Andrews sand tribute to Ballesteros on anniversary of death

Kingdom FM A special tribute has been paid to Seve Ballesteros in St Andrews - 10 years on from his death. The Old Course was the scene of one of his most famous victories, when he won The Open in 1984. The R&A has created a sand art drawing on the West Sands, capturing his iconic celebration from that tournament. Ballesteros - who is widely regarded as one of the sport s greatest players - won three Claret Jugs and two Masters titles in an illustrious career. He died on May 7 2011, aged 54, after battling brain cancer. Share

Luckily, the Capital Region is home to dozens of stands and shops and drive-ins offering delicious frozen treats of every variety. Sure, you could pick up a cone at the Dairy Queen in the mall. However, when the weather turns warm, what we really crave is the local outdoor drive-up with the extra creamy soft-serve, or the little hole-in-the-wall with the creative flavors and colorful waffle cones. The kinds of places we drive past all winter, yearning for the arrival of spring, and with it the signs announcing the beginning of ice cream season.

It has been ‘lights, camera, action’ for the residents of St Andrews this week as filming for a major new TV crime drama starts in the historic Fife town. Various specially selected locations will provide the backdrop for a new STV series based on Scottish crime writer Val McDermid’s best-selling Karen Pirie novels. The Kirkcaldy-born author will see the latest of her characters come to life as a week of filming started on Monday for the new series commissioned by STV’s head of drama, Polly Hill.
