More than 7,500 new homes are proposed for South Eastern Dorset, the second largest share of the new development, including some on protected green-belt areas. Corfe Mullen Plans for 400 homes in Corfe Mullen are revealed in the document, including near Pardy’s Hill and Haywards Lane.

A WARNING has been issued to vehicle owners after thefts of catalytic converters. Police say the thefts have happened over the last couple of days in the West Moors and West Parley areas and Honda and Toyota vehicles have been targeted. A post on the East Dorset Police Facebook page said: We have had reports of catalytic converters being stolen over the last couple of days in the West Moors and West Parley areas. Vehicles being targeted are typically Hondas and Toyotas. If possible, park the rear of your vehicle close to fences, walls or a kerb or keep your vehicle in a garage. Alternatively, aim to park in a well-lit and well-populated area.
