LEARNER drivers in the Chester area accumulated thousands of dangerous and serious driving faults during their failed tests, new research has revealed. Figures unveiled by car sales company Lookers, via a Freedom of Information request, showed that in the Chester area, a total of 2,624 dangerous and serious driving faults were recorded between April 2019 and March 2020, resulting in a failed test. That number was nearly twice the next highest recorded for Cheshire – 1,558 faults for Widnes. The highest recorded in the North West – where a total of 58,415 dangerous and serious faults were recorded over the 12-month period – were in Norris Green (4,498) and West Didsbury (4,462).
