CHICAGO - Three men were wounded in shootings within four hours Friday on the West Side.
In the latest shooting, a man was seriously wounded in the Lawndale neighborhood.
The man, 20, was standing on the sidewalk in the 3600 Block of West Douglas Avenue when the shooter stepped out of a light-colored vehicle and fired around 1:30 p.m., Chicago Police said. The man was shot several times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

The scrapes in the paint were minimal along the side of a Jacksonville Fire Department truck after it was stolen and taken on a short-lived joyride.
Cory M. Fisher, 30, of 910 Doolin Ave. was formally charged Monday with unlawful possession of a fire engine and criminal trespass to a motor vehicle. He is accused of stealing the firetruck from the front of the fire station at 200 W. Douglas Ave.

A Jacksonville woman was injured and a Springfield man was arrested after a 2-vehicle crash in Jacksonville this afternoon.
Police received reports of a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of North Church Street and West Douglas Avenue at 2:05PM.
Upon arrival and after a brief investigation, police determined that a black passenger car driven by 31 year old Jessie A Williams of Springfield allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign traveling westbound on East Douglas Avenue and struck a black car driven by 78 year old Phyllis E. Freeman of the 300 block of Marion Street.
