Share This year s graduating class celebrated alongside friends and family with a parade through downtown Winter Garden on Wednesday. West Orange High School seniors marched up-and-down Plant Street in downtown Winter Garden as the school celebrated its Sen ya Later Parade Wednesday, May 12. After meeting at the parking lot on the corner of Dillard and Plant street, students decked out in their school s colors and some with faces painted walked their way down West Plant Street as family and friends cheered them on while holding signs, balloons and pom-poms, before taking the turn onto East Plant Street. The next big moment for the school s seniors will come during the graduation ceremony, which will be held May 20 at the Amway Center in Orlando.

Hartville seeks ambitious 2021 paving program Brian Lisik HARTVILLE  The village of Hartville plans to spend nearly $300,000 more on road paving this year than in years past. Village Council officially kicked off the 2021 road paving program Feb. 16 when an agreement with CT Consultants, not to exceed $10,000, to prepare the construction bid package for the road paving schedule was approved. Village Engineer Samer Awadallah, of CT Consultants, presented Village Council members with estimates for both the base and alternate bids. The $525,340 base bid estimate included Lincoln Street SW, from Park Lane Drive SW to Belle Avenue; Belle Avenue SW, from Sunnyside Street SW to Washington Street SW; Park Lane Drive SW from Lincoln Street SW to Coral Place SW; Schumacher Court from Lincoln Street SW to West Mill Street; and West Mill Street from Belle Avenue SW to State Route 43.

Man, 27, accused of raping and strangling two women in Dundee and Perthshire Updated: February 25, 2021, 1:23 pm © Kris Miller Dundee Sheriff Court A sheriff has remanded a man in custody over claims he raped two women and rendered them unconscious after strangling them. Scott Lee Green, 27, allegedly attacked the women at addresses in Dundee and Perthshire between June 2015 and October last year. Green allegedly gouged at one of the women’s eyes, cut her hair and bit her on the face. Court papers allege Green threw objects at the first woman, grabbed her hair and repeatedly struck her head on Erskine Street and Morgan Street between June 1 2015 and November 1 2018.
