WILLIAMSBURG When William & Mary students return for the fall semester they will find their bookstore in a new location.
The William & Mary bookstore will move into the Triangle Building at 601 Prince George Street in downtown Williamsburg, according to a press release from William & Mary.
The bookstore will close its current location in Merchants Square this June.
The new location will offer outdoor seating and free parking, while also continuing to offer in-store events and programs.
“The move reflects W&M Bookstore’s continued adaptations to the sale and delivery of university textbooks and course materials while recognizing the value of in-person shopping for W&M merchandise and supplies,” said Director of William & Mary Auxiliary Services Cindy Glavas.
About a quarter of the first floor of the Duke of Gloucester Street Barnes & Noble, also known as the William and Mary Bookstore and Cafe, is being converted into a new retail space for an unannounced tenant.
