Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen Community Centre received a $29,114 donation thanks to Metro customers in Sault Ste. Marie. In fact, the Metro location at 275 Second Line W., was one of the top store donors in Ontario for the grocery chain’s Community Spirit Like No Other campaign.
From Nov. 12 to Dec. 31, 2020, Metro customers were asked to donate a toonie at the checkout. Metro’s total donation for the Community Spirit Like No Other campaign was $1.43 million. .
