A Wirral couple who opened the only pool on Merseyside which teaches dogs to swim says lessons are proving popular. Stuart Smith and Laura Cohen-Smith opened their Moreton business just six weeks before the national lockdown last year and they say their sessions are in high demand since reopening on Monday, April 12. For Stuart, who is a trained nurse, the idea behind the business, Doggy Paddle Wirral, which is based on Pasture Road in Moreton, came about after one of his dogs was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia as a puppy.

A huge hunt was sparked by police to track down a little boy s parents after he was found wandering the streets of a town in Yorkshire today.
The boy was discovered around the Boothferry and Pasture Road area of Goole, East Yorkshire, at around 2pm, said Humberside Police.
The force has since located the little boy s parents after launching an urgent appeal and the incident is now closed.
Police earlier said he was safe and well and being looked after by officers.
