“Because the damage caused by the fire is more than P30 million, we have turned over the investigation to the District. They will be the ones to determine the cause of the blaze,” he said.
“The fire on the fourth floor caused damage to the medical equipment located on the third floor. This was caused by heat conduction,” he added.
PCGH personnel told fire investigators that no COVID-19 vaccine was stored in the destroyed storage facility.

To prevent congestion of inoculation sites, the mayor earlier appealed to residents not to arrive too early at their designated vaccination areas.

“We have hit the 35,000-mark for 1st dose vaccinations,” the mayor posted on Twitter.
Sotto appealed to his constituents not to arrive too early at their designated vaccination sites so the area would not be congested.
The city is strictly implementing a no walk-in policy at inoculation sites to properly enforce health and safety protocols.
“Kung 10 to 11 a.m. ang window na tinext sa inyo, kahit past 10 a.m. dumating, ok lang (If your scheduled time is 10 to 11 a.m., it is okay for you to arrive at the venue past 10 a.m.),” he said.

Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto cautioned the public against “conspiracy theories,” stressing that drugs undergo a stringent regulatory process. “‘Wag tayong masyadong ano sa mga conspiracy theory, relax-relax lang po tayo sa mga conspiracy theory (Let s relax and not get carried away by conspiracy theories),” he said in an online forum. “Just because there is a little bit of positive news or a little bit of possibility or may nakitang konting scientific basis, hindi ‘yun sapat para sabihin na, ‘Okay na ‘yan, pwede na ‘yan.’ Hindi tayo mga doktor, hindi tayo medical expert. Makinig tayo sa kanila.”
