Eadie did not give a reason as to why she resigned as Mayor.
Her County Council colleague and Mayor of Huron-Kinloss Mitch Twolan says she did a lot while serving on municipal Council.
Eadie did issue a statement saying she is proud of her time on Council (over 6 years as Mayor of Kincardine, 4 years as Deputy Mayor of Kincardine, and 8 years as Councillor in Huron-Kinloss)
She says it has been a privilege to serve all residents and ratepayers in the municipality and hopes Council will continue to put their focus on making decisions that best serve the community.
The Municipality issued their own statement wishing Eadie all the best.

The Municipality of Kincardine have made an offer to the South Bruce Grey Health Centre that they hope will result in the purchase of the Siemens Drive CT scanner.
Hospital President and CEO Micheal Barrett and Board Chair John Gilbert went to Council last Wednesday night for a delegation.
Both indicated to Council that the hospital’s choice was the Siemens Edge Plus scanner which they said was less expensive but just as reliable.
Deputy Mayor Randy Roppel says they – quote – “sweetened the pot” – closed quote – in order to get the hospital to go with the one preferred by patients and doctors.
