Wrightsville Borough Council discusses moving public comment to end of meetings

After several contentious meetings in recent months, including two where police escorted a resident from the meeting, Wrightsville Borough Council is discussing moving public comment for items not on the agenda to the end of its meetings. Council member Don Bair raised the issue at councilâs July 19 meeting, initially favoring moving all public comments to the end of the meeting. He said public comments are frequently about issues on the agenda, and people can listen to council discuss and debate the issues. âTheyâll be more informed about whatâs going on,â he said, adding that it also would âstreamlineâ meetings.

Den konservative politiker mente, at der blev drevet rovdrift på Gentoftes områder og faciliteter i form af ulovlig parkering, vandpiber, høj musik, skrald og cigaretskodder. Og det var ikke Gentoftes egne borgere, der ikke kunne opføre sig ordentligt, men gæster fra andre kommuner, understregede Andreas Weidinger. Det ville han bl.a. sætte en stopper for gennem dyre parkeringsafgifter og røgfri strand. Ingen støtte fra baglandet Hverken de radikale, socialdemokratiet og Enhedslisten kunne genkende det billede han skabte af Bellevue Strand eller støttede op om forslagene. Og over weekenden tog hans eget konservative bagland også afstand fra forslagene.
