QC activates more COVID-19 vaccination sites in malls

CALOOCAN CITY, May 7 (PIA) The Quezon City Government has been conducting a dry run of four additional mall-based vaccination sites this week to cater to residents falling under priority categories and were registered through barangay-assisted bookings. This is part of our efforts to make it as easy as possible for our residents to get a shot and be protected against COVID-19, said Mayor Joy Belmonte.
The goal is to make the process easier and more accessible for senior citizens and individuals with co-morbidities who are not capable of booking for vaccination appointment online.

People’s participation is one of the important goals in the passage of LGC.

Ana Patricia Non, the proponent of the pantry that inspired more than 300 community pantries in the country, opened it again after securing a team that would ensure their safety.
“Gusto po namin sana na mag-focus tayo sa community pantry. Mas marami naman pong sumusuporta kesa nambabatikos and ayaw ko po ibuhos yung energy ko sa mga taong hindi nakakaintindi (We want people to focus on the community pantry. There are more people who are supportive than those who criticize. And I don’t want to pour all my energy to those people who cannot understand),” Non told reporters as she reopened the pantry.
