INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. A U.S. District Court judge has set a hearing to determine whether a Delaware County businessman intends to plead guilty in a corruption-related case.
Jeffrey Burke was indicted in September 2018 in a federal investigation of corruption involving the Muncie Sanitary District and then-Mayor Dennis Tyler s administration.
Burke is charged with bank fraud, making false statements to an FBI agent and obstruction of grand jury proceedings.
In a motion filed this month, the U.S. Attorney s office indicated Burke has been offered a plea agreement, but has not indicated whether he will accept or reject the plea offer.
