Kenyon Hires New Police Chief The Kenyon City Council Tuesday night unanimously approved the hiring of a Wanamingo resident as it s new Police Chief. Goodhue County Sheriff s Deputy and Kenyon-Wanamingo Schools Officer Jeff Sjoblom, 42, will start sometime in August according to Mayor Doug Henke. The latest start date would be September 1, 2021. The Mayor told KDHL Sjoblom is a very good fit for Kenyon because he knows the community through the school district work, understands Minnesota laws and has lived in the area for a long time. Sjoblom is a Cannon Falls High School graduate. He then attended Rochester Community and Technical College.

When a family arrives, they re COVID tested and then they re given some instructions. Generally, they need to be out of the facility within 72 hours and that s to the host family wherever that is in the country; however, Endeavors has told me that their goal is to get everyone out within 48 hours, Mayor Nicholls explained.
