PALATINE BRIDGE
The Village of Palatine Bridge agreed to pay $32,500 for a strip of property adjacent to the village municipal building which may be used for DPW storage, additional parking at the village hall, or a green area. The village board is mulling over its choices.
The board signed a contract with the former private owner and submitted a $1,000 deposit.
“I would expect us to close on it in August,” said Mayor James post.
The village board has discussed the potential purchase for months, and Post noted that the small strip of land could easily tie into the existing property on either side the village municipal space and a DOT-owned green space which is maintained by the village.
