Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon publicly distanced herself Monday from Knox County District Attorney General Charme Allen s contention that body camera footage showing the shooting death by police of Anthony Thompson Jr. cannot be released until the case is concluded.

Allen declined, and last week said she won t until her investigation is concluded, and that she is constrained by local court rules from doing so.
