+ February 17, 2021 GINATILAN Mayor Dean Michael Singco tested positive for the virus that causes the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
He confirmed this on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021. He also confirmed that his wife, Hannah, also tested positive.
Singco said that he was asymptomatic. He did not experience any symptoms of Covid-19.
He said his wife is a legal frontliner who attended a hearing on Thursday, Feb. 11. She had a fever on Friday night. On Monday, she took a saliva test.
The couple is now in isolation. Singco said the other members of their household are under home quarantine and scheduled to have their swab tests soon.

RTC Judge Angelo C. Perez was named in the administrative complaint in relation to his order last December that unseated Austria and installed former Mayor Antonio P. Esquivel as the town’s chief executive.
The judge’s order to enforce his decision led to a situation where two mayors were administering the affairs of the town until the Commission on Elections (Comelec) intervened and reinstated Austria early this month.
Perez’s decision to unseat Austria granted the election protest filed by Esquivel. The judge ruled that Esquivel won the last mayoralty election with 18,737 votes as against Austria’s 14,000 votes.
