Ontario reports fewest new COVID-19 cases in nearly 3 weeks by Michael Ranger Last Updated Apr 27, 2021 at 11:15 am EDT Ontario is reporting 3,265 new COVID-19 cases and 29 additional deaths on Tuesday. The province reports a test positivity rate of 10.2 per cent, down from a record rate of 10.9 a day ago. There were 34,000 tests completed in the last 24 hour period, a comparable number to one day ago. Testing numbers are typically down earlier in the week. Locally, there are 1,044 new cases in Toronto, 673 in Peel, 452 in York Region, 171 in Durham and 150 in Ottawa. For the sixth consecutive day the province is reporting more resolved cases, 3.908, than new cases.
