Factory mishap will not impact next week s J&J COVID-19 vaccine shipment, Baker says © Pool Gov. Charlie Baker speaks with the media after touring the COVID-19 vaccination site at La Colaborativa in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on April 1, 2021.
Millions of doses of the single-shot Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine were spoiled at a Baltimore factory, but Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker said that incident will not impact the next big shipment that is coming to the state.
On Wednesday, Baker announced that more than 100,000 doses of the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine will arrive in Massachusetts next week. But just hours after the governor s announcement, The New York Times reported that workers at Emergent BioSolutions Baltimore plant accidentally conflated vaccine ingredients several weeks ago, spoiling about 15 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine in the process.Sign up for our Newsletters
