The order came into force on Friday April 9 2021. lAlso in traffic notices this week, Darlington Borough Council have announced the temporary road closure of Roundhill Road for 45 metres south of the south side of Blackthorn Drive junction northwards for 350 metres. An alternative route will be signed via Neasham Road. lDarlington Borough Council have also announced the temporary road closure for the entirety of Pendleton Road and Arkendale Street, Back Street in Darlington, St Paul s Terrace north back from its junction with Arkendale Street eastwards to its end and Askrigg Street south back from its junction with Arkendale Street eastwards to its end.

American man charged with killing his Jamaican-born mom in the US

A man has reportedly confessed to killing his 50-year-old Jamaican-born mother at her home in Stamford, Connecticut in the United States. Winston Weathers, a 25-year-old resident of Stamford, was arrested in New York on Tuesday after Denise McLaughlin was found dead with stab wounds inside her apartment on Friday, April 2. Weathers appeared in the Stamford Superior Court a day later on murder charges, and was held on suicide watch on $2.5 million bond, according to the Stamford Advocate news website. He is to return to court on May 24. During the court arraignment, Senior Assistant State Attorney, Maureen Ornousky, said Weathers had checked himself into a New York psychiatric facility, where he was later found by police.
