Holder was out for 52 when the West Indies were just 23 runs from victory and Pooran went on to make an unbeaten 59 and guide them to victory with 72 balls remaining. Alzarri Joseph, who hit a boundary for the winning runs, was 5 not out.

West Indies drew level 1-1 in their One-day International series against Australia, after Nicholas Pooran and Jason Holder hit half-centuries and anchored them to a four-wicket victory.
Pooran led the way with an unbeaten 59 from 75 balls and earned the Player-of-the-Match award, and Holder made 52 from 69 balls, and the Windies successfully chased 188 for victory in the reconvened second ODI under the lights at Kensington Oval.
The pair shared a record 93 for the seventh wicket to revive the Caribbean side after they stumbled to 72 for five in the 15th over.

Nicholas Pooran has guided West Indies to a series-levelling One Day International (ODI) victory despite a scare in the run chase against Australia at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown on Saturday.
Akeal Hosein (30-3) and Alzarri Joseph (39-3) were exceptional in reducing Australia to 45 for six before the tourists rallied to 187.
But the West Indies stumbled in their chase, slumping to 72 for five before Pooran (59 not out from 75) combined with Jason Holder (52) for a decisive 93-run sixth-wicket stand.

Replying to the visitors’ modest total of 187 all out, the home side slipped to 72 for five before Pooran, who earned the “Man of the Match” award for his unbeaten 59, and former captain Holder, who contributed an invaluable 52, put on 93 for the seventh wicket to tilt the balance of the match decisively in their team’s favour.
