A Canberra father who died less than a year after being diagnosed with a rare cancer will leave behind an enduring legacy with a world-first Australian study supported by his research fund set to begin.
Scientist Matthew Fisher passed away on January 8 this year from a rhabdomyosarcoma â a soft-tissue cancer more common in children. He was a kind and gentle person, his wife Naomi told nine.com.au. Matt was very reserved but he really loved life and was such a positive person. He had just a nice presence about him. He was also so brave and so stoic in the way he battled the cancer.

Northern Knights defeated Pakistan Shaheens by 21 runs in the first Twenty20 at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Sunday.
According to the match report released by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Northern Knights put a gigantic total of 203 at the loss of just two wickets while batting first. Opening batsman Tim Seifert was the highest scorer with his unbeaten 99 off 55 balls.
Katene Clarke (40) and Anton Devcich (38 ) were the other batsmen who made notable contributions. For Shaheens, Khushdil Shah and Musa Khan grabbed one wicket each as no bowler could make much of an impact.

OCR has made enforcement of patient access a major priority in recent months. In the most recent case, Dr. Peter Wrobel and his Georgia-based practice Elite Primary Care agreed to take corrective actions and pay $36,000 to settle a potential violation of the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
In April 2019, OCR received an allegation that Elite had not responded to a patient s request for access to his medical records. A month later, the agency offered the practice technical assistance on right of access requirements and closed the complaint.
