Kathleen Montreal, 51, was found dead in a Milton Avenue apartment on Syracuse s Far West Side on Saturday, May 8, 2021. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

Syracuse, N.Y. Police released the identity of a woman found dead Saturday afternoon in a home on Syracuse’s Far West Side.
Kathleen Montreal, 51, of Syracuse, was found dead at a home in the 1200 block of Milton Avenue, said Sgt. Matthew Malinowski, Syracuse Police Department. Her death ― initially called a “suspicious incident” has been ruled a homicide, he said.

Syracuse, N.Y. A woman stabbed her brother in the chest late Saturday night during a dispute in Syracuse, police said.
Sherea Hosea and her brother Straughter Hosea got into a fight just after 11 p.m. in the 100 block of Washington Square, said Sgt. Matthew Malinowski, Syracuse Police Department spokesman. During the fight, Sherea Hosea stabbed her brother in his arm and chest, he said.
