With City Commission s help, UF student marketing campaign promotes mask-wearing in bars
As of Feb. 8, the city commission-funded program distributed 150 posters, 190 masks and about 80 floor decals to Rowdy Reptile, Fat Daddy s, JJ s Tavern, Downtown Fats and other businesses [Courtesy of The Agency]
Packed bars and clubs at Midtown are now covered with colorful posters and stickers reminding students to keep their masks on while being social.
Students at The Agency, UF’s student-led marketing firm, paired up with the city to launch a marketing campaign aimed to encourage students to wear masks in public inside bars.
The Healthy Gainesville Initiative was presented to and approved by the City Commission Jan. 21 and cost the city $87,500. The funds paid for research and development of marketing materials such as posters, masks and floor stickers to encourage students to mask up because of concerns from city officials about masses of unmasked stude

A global dairy exhibition has been launched to celebrate dairy farmers, with a prize of $10,000 up for grabs.
The initiative was launched by Diversey’s Deosan Agriculture hygiene brand, together with Promar International.
To win, farm owners, managers and employees are asked to promote the industry by showcasing advancements being made on dairy farms.
Diversey spokesperson Alison Cox said: “It’s time for the industry to stand up and demonstrate the extraordinary progress we have made in the dairy sector, and the innovative ways in which farms have adapted to improve animal welfare and sustainability.
“We are looking for dairy applicants who are excelling through improvements to the efficiency, quality or sustainability of their business.”

The sheer ignorance, oh, and it’s ignorance, that signaling is lost on those who think it’s fine saying “She-Caw-Go” and folks hear that whistle loud and clear…
We have others saying “the suburbs” aren’t represented, yet all FOUR tops represent the suburbs… “just not our suburbs” is the same as those thinking “She-Caw-Go” and its dog whistle is fine without grasping actual geography.
