It may be spring but it feels a little like fall right now with San Antonio’s performing arts companies starting to emerge from their pandemic pauses. The weekend’s offerings include chamber music, a pop revue and flamenco.

Desi Banks: An actor, comedian and former college football player from Atlanta, Banks has built a big following on social media with funny videos about little daily dramas, from being flush with stimulus money to being pursued by his homeboy’s girl. He stars in the upcoming horror comedy “Haunted Trail.”

(MINNEAPOLIS) It wasn’t just former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin’s knee on the neck of George Floyd that contributed to the alleged excessive force applied in the fatal 2020 arrest of the 46-year-old Black man, a prosecution expert witness testified Wednesday.
Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Jody Stiger a veteran use-of-force trainer, who is testifying as a paid expert witness for the prosecution said his review of video evidence in Floyd’s arrested indicated that Chauvin was also using a “pain compliance technique” on Floyd’s handcuffed left hand.
