Happy Draft Day!! If you’ll remember to last year, several of the writers got together for the first annual FTRS Mock Draft, and well, this year, we decided to do it again! So without further ado, let’s get onto the rule and team assignments.
Rules
If there is a trade between two teams that are being run by the same person, it must be approved by a simple majority of the whole group.
Due to not being able to get everyone together at the exact same time, we are requiring that folks wait at least five minutes before making their selection to give people ample time to discuss trades and such.

After losing Kenyan Drake in free agency to the Las Vegas Raiders, the Cardinals were in the market for an upgrade at the running back position. Some teams had glided away from Conner after his surgery this offseason to patch up a turf toe injury. The Cardinals must’ve been pleased with the results of his physical as Conner will now be paired with Chase Edmonds in the Arizona backfield.

This article takes its inspiration from a recent discussion in the comments section of Hogs Haven. We were discussing the merits of selecting a QB in the first round versus later in the draft, when one frequent commenter wrote:
“By and large, mid-round QB picks are a terrible investment, especially when viewed against the steep opportunity cost of talented starters on cheap contracts at other positions of need. The hit rate on non-first-round QBs is truly abysmal…”
Sam Darnold is now a Panther, Jared Goff is a Lion, Matt Stafford is a Ram and their respective old teams are drafting differently. Also the 49ers, Eagles and Dolphins are drafting in different places now. Just how will these pre-draft trades affect the Steelers draft plan? That is the main topic that will be discussed on the latest episode of the morning flagship show in the BTSC family of podcasts.
