The Northern California region of the state is now one of two that has not yet been impacted by the new stay-at-home plan announced last week.
Northern California’s availability improved in Thursday’s report from state officials. They say 30.3% of ICU beds in the region are open, up from 27.1% in the previous day’s report.
On Wednesday, the Greater Sacramento region became the third to drop below the 15% ICU availability threshold that triggers further business restrictions. That region includes the following counties: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba.
