REUTERS/David Gray/File Photo July 26, 2021 (Reuters) – Australia’s AMP Ltd said on Monday it would move to a new form of financial advice model for clients, marking a shift in the troubled wealth manager’s advice operations as it embarks on a demerger from its infrastructure and property units. The move comes after AMP decided in April to spin off its asset management arm’s private markets business and focus on its wealth management units following U.S.-based Ares Management Corp’s failed bid to buy the whole company.

Print AMP Limited has announced a new fee model for its aligned advice practices and a pathway to release institutional ownership as part of a new service model. In an announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), AMP said its service model with its aligned network would support the delivery of advice, improve practice efficiency, and help advisers grow their businesses. The three components of the model were: A new service proposition and fee model for advice practices, which has been competitively benchmarked against the industry and reflects the services offered. It includes a set of core services as well as user pay services. The new fee model will be phased in from 1 January, 2022, to 1 January, 2023;

Australian wealth manager AMP to revamp financial advice model 07/26/2021 1:10 (Reuters) - Australia s AMP Ltd said on Monday it would move to a new form of financial advice model for clients, marking a shift in the troubled wealth manager s advice operations as it embarks on a demerger from its infrastructure and property units. The move comes after AMP decided in April to spin off its asset management arm s private markets business and focus on its wealth management units following U.S.-based Ares Management Corp s failed bid to buy the whole company. Under the new model, AMP will introduce a fresh service and fee structure for its clients and stop owning client relationships. It will instead release institutional ownership from AMP Financial Planning to advisers , it said.
