After last year’s festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Magic Round returns this year, with Suncorp Stadium to play host to all eight matches this weekend.
Following a recent COVID scare in Sydney, all players have been placed under the same stage three restrictions that most, if not all, of Australia were subject to at the height of the pandemic last year, for what is hoped to only be a brief period.

As far as spectacles go, the Dragons versus Bulldogs game last Sunday was one best forgotten.
Indeed, if anything it lent plenty of weight to the widespread suspicion that the NRL lacks the quality of players to field a 17th team when the second Brisbane club inevitably enters the comp in 2023.

The BMW heiress inherited a 12.50 per cent stake following her father s death which now totals to 19.2 per cent after her mother s passing in 2015. Besides her wealth from the German carmaker, she also inherited her late father s 50.1 per cent stake in pharmaceutical and chemicals manufacturer, Atlanta.

I’ve been very vocal in my comments on this site that I want Roger Davis, the chairman of the New South Wales Rugby Union, to resign.
I completely disagree with the sacking of Rob Penney. I believe Davis is culpable for the current state of the Waratahs.
He has led the organisation since he was invited to take up the role nine years ago. Back then, his role was Chairman of NSW Waratahs Limited, running the professional game in NSW. Nick Farr-Jones led a separate board for the New South Wales Rugby Union, running the community game.
