Remember when there were two clear front-running teams in the Premier Lacrosse League, and the rest looked to be a cut below? Those days are over.
After the past two weeks, things are changing three teams are 3-2, three teams are 2-3, and they’re bookended by the Whipsnakes (back on top of the IL Power Rankings after a blip in Week 3) and Cannons, who are 1-4 but seem only a few plays away from being a contender.
Each team in the league has played five games more than halfway through the nine-game regular-season slate.
Check out coverage from Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Long Island here, and check back for the Team of the Week and more.
