SAP has launched a new collection of services and software, offered as a single subscription product called “Rise with SAP,” designed to assist customers with cloud migration and digital transformation initiatives.
As part of the Rise with SAP announcement Wednesday the company said it is acquiring Signavio, a Germany-based developer of business process intelligence and process management tools.

Tyler Bryson has been named corporate vice president of Microsoft’s U.S. partner group, overseeing a team that’s responsible for U.S. partner strategy, management and the overall health of the partner ecosystem.

Businesses across the globe are gobbling up server, storage and networking products for their public cloud infrastructure at a rapid pace with Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Inspur generating the most revenue.
Vendor revenues from cloud infrastructure spending reached $18.3 billion in the third quarter of 2020, according to new data from IT research firm IDC, an increase of nearly 10 percent year over year. Spending on public cloud infrastructure hit $13.3 billion in the third quarter, up 13 percent year over year. Private cloud infrastructure spending was flat year over year at $5 billion.
Oracle Debuts Major Release Of Its Flagship Database, First Since 2019

After a nearly two-year gap, Oracle today launched a new edition of the company’s flagship database system packed with a long list of new features and capabilities.
The new Oracle 21c Database incorporates capabilities the company built into a planned 2020 release of the software but held back when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in early 2020.
Oracle also said Tuesday that the company is making its APEX low-code development tools available as a service on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), a move the company said will help customers and partners build data-driven applications more easily and more quickly.
