Bars and restaurants can resume normal operating hours and there will no longer be a limit on the size of gatherings other than distance between people, but other rules to limit the spread of the coronavirus will remain in place, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds announced Wednesday.
The remaining requirements, including that Iowans unable to socially distance wear masks when in indoor public spaces, will be in place until Jan. 8, Reynolds said. Bars and restaurants must also limit groups no more than eight people, unless they re all members of the same household. Groups of diners must also be six feet from other groups.
