Weather in Memphis
Leading into Memorial Day weekend, the Memphis area begins to see summer weather with temperatures creeping into the 90s.
The National Weather Service in Memphis predicts some temperatures in the upper 80s for the holiday weekend along with a chance of afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms beginning May 28 until Memorial Day, May 31.

TENNESSEE, USA Gas prices across Tennessee jumped nearly 18 cents in the last week as the Colonial Pipeline shutdown led to a spike in demand for gasoline as well as shortages across the Southeast, according to AAA.
The average price for a gallon of regular in Tennessee is now $2.89. up from $2.71 a week ago.
In Knoxville, the averages are just a cent lower at $2.88 today and $2.70 a week ago. Last month, we were paying $2.66 a gallon, and a year ago, while most of the state was shut down because of COVID-19, gas was just $1.56 a gallon.
