Some cliche somewhere said that a picture is worth a thousand words. This has proven to be the case for me and especially when it comes to fan art. I have always sought out great fan art and have wanted to share it with as many people as possible. Awesome Art We ve Found Around The Net is the outlet for that passion. In this column, I will showcase the kick-ass artwork of some great artists, with the hopes that these artists get the attention they deserve. That s the aim. It was around midnight on January 23, 1961 when a B-52G Stratofortress, based at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base was doing a mid-air refueling over the Atlantic when the tanker noticed the B-52 had a fuel leak.
We’re talking a major fuel leak, here. They were ordered to stay out to sea until most of the fuel was gone then head for home, but the pilot reported they had lost 37,000 pounds of fuel in three minutes. I never knew there was anything big enough to hold 37,000 pounds of fuel. They were told to head for home, pronto.
