IPOH: A couple was killed when the motorcycle they were travelling on crashed into a car at KM364 of the North-South Expressway, near Tanjung Malim.
Muallim OCPD Supt Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said the man, identified as Mohamad Nazrul 41, died on the spot while his wife, Norwahidah, 34, died while being transported to the Slim River Hospital after the 1pm incident on Monday (Dec 14).
Supt Sulizmie said the incident occurred when the car driver, heading to Johor, lost control of the vehicle and hit the middle divider.
“The car had stopped horizontally in the middle of the two-lane highway.
“The victims’ motorcycle that was coming from the same direction could not stop in time and crashed into the back door on the left side of the car, ” he said.

TANJUNG MALIM, Dec 13 Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) is offering targeted loan repayment moratorium to its borrowers, referred to as ‘Sahabat’, whose livelihoods were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic starting year.
AIM Board chairman, Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin said borrowers who have problems in repaying their loans can apply for the moratorium at their respective branches in January.
