WWE SmackDown And 205 Live Previews For Tonight: Royal Rumble Go-Home Build, Dusty Classic Match
Tonight’s WWE SmackDown on FOX episode will feature the final build before Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
WWE has not announced any SmackDown go-home matches as of this writing, but they are teasing that Kevin Owens and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will make one last stand before Sunday’s Last Man Standing match, as seen in the promo below.
WWE has announced that the 2021 WWE NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will continue on tonight’s 205 Live episode. Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart will face Marina Shafir and Zoey Stark (Lacey Ryan) in a first round match.
The first round of the women s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will conclude on 205 Live tonight.
WWE has announced that Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon will face Marina Shafir & Zoey Stark in the final women s Dusty Classic first round match on 205 Live tonight. Stark is Lacey Ryan s new WWE in-ring name. She s making her WWE debut in the tournament. Ryan has been based on the West Coast and also appeared on Impact Wrestling twice last year.
The team that wins tonight s match will advance to face Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell in the women s Dusty Classic semifinals. LeRae & Hartwell defeated the debuting Gigi Dolin (Priscilla Kelly) & Cora Jade (Elayna Black) in the first round of the tournament.
The first-round of the 2021 WWE NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic continued during tonight’s NXT episode on the USA Network.
Tonight’s show saw Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez defeat Aliyah and Jessi Kamea to advance to the next round.
Kai and Gonzalez will now face Team Ninja (Kayden Carter, Kacy Catanzaro), who defeated Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez in a first round match last Wednesday.
Kai and Gonzalez vs. Carter and Catanzaro will air next Wednesday night. The Way (Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell) vs. the winners of Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon vs. Marina Shafir and Zoey Stark will air in two weeks. The Blackheart and Moon vs. Shafir and Stark match has not aired yet, but it could take place this Friday night on WWE 205 Live, or on next Wednesday’s NXT show.

Ember Moon Pays Tribute To Friend Who Passed Away
WWE Superstar Ember Moon paid tribute to a friend that passed away this evening.
She revealed that her friend and fellow wrestler Jackie (Claudia) helped her break into the women’s independent scene as a new wrestler. She was also one of the first women that Ember Moon wrestled.
Moon tweeted, “I lost another friend today and I feel very bittersweet she was one of the first women I wrestled and helped me break into the women’s indy scene as a new wrestler. Even though we didn’t stay close, Thank you for everything! Rest in peace jackie aka claudia”
