March 7th - 13th is “No More” Week, and local nonprofit organization Fight Against Domestic Violence is on a mission to de-stigmatize having conversations around Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence.
Fight Against Domestic Violence is here to contribute to the conversation and raise awareness in Utah by working with domestic violence service providers from Logan to St. George. Their two main programs - Housing First and Crisis Cash work to bridge the gaps left by government grants that have restrictions for use.
With partner, corporate, and individual support from donations, FADV provided safe housing for 180 Utahns in 2020 (62 survivors, 118 dependants) and granted $56,000 in unrestricted funds to service providers.

A mother in Canada has gone from panic mode to relief, thanks to a food company that makes her son’s favorite waffles. Jenna Roman’s 9-year-old, Jerico, has autism as well as extreme oral aversion and complex eating challenges and he’ll only eat one thing - Nature’s Path maple cinnamon waffles.
Jericho goes through two boxes of the waffles a day, but that was all about to change because the brand is discontinuing that flavor. To make sure Jerico had food, Jenna was trying to track down and stockpile the waffles.
The company found the last remaining six cases of the waffles in North America and sent them to Jerico, along with some of their other foods. But Nature’s Path knows these waffles are his favorite, so they also had a team adapt the recipe - from one used to make massive batches to one for Jenna to use at home. They delivered the recipe, along with the ingredients needed, to the family, ensuring Jerico won’t be going hungry anytime soon.
