First responders in the area have started getting their initial doses of a COVID-19 vaccine as the state rolls out phase one of inoculation.Â
Hunterâs Ambulance EMT Chris Ryan received his first dose of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine on Monday at a clinic set up by the city Department of Health and Human Services,. He said the last 10 months have been up and down, but he and his colleagues have been getting through it. Those eligible under the first phase of vaccinations are healthcare workers, long term care facility residents and first responders, according to the state website.
