The Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC) is getting Louisianians back to work with a series of virtual job fairs from May 24âMay 28. Governor John Bel Edwards has officially proclaimed the week Workforce Week in an effort to raise awareness of the services LWC offers and to encourage job seekers to take advantage of them.
More than 100 employers in the top industries across the state will feature thousands of immediate job openings as Louisiana looks to strengthen its workforce following the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic crisis that followed. LWC has paid out more than $8.6 billion since March 2020 to individuals who lost their jobs.

â Rockdale County Public Schools will hold a Virtual RCPS Teacher Job Fair on Wednesday, May 19, 2 p.m. â 5 p.m. online.
According to the school system, RCPS is seeking outstanding candidates for teaching positions in the 2021-2022 school year. Most RCPS schools will be represented and interviews will be held during the Virtual Job Fair. To pre-register, please visit www.rockdaleschools.org/jobfair
RCPS has 11 elementary schools, four middle schools, three traditional high schools, a virtual campus and four non-traditional schools (Rockdale Career Academy, Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology, Open Campus, Alpha Academy). In addition, the school system offers specialty and choice programs focusing on STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), performing and visual arts, technology and engineering, pre-medical science, business and leadership, radio and film entertainment, and much more.
