LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif has accused the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of harassment during interrogation, an allegation that was swiftly denied by the probe body, Geo News reported.
The accusation from the opposition leader against the FIA came during a hearing at a court in Lahore on Saturday, where he had appeared to request an extension of interim bail in a money laundering case.
“The FIA’s investigation team treated me inappropriately and the officers used to engage in pointless conversations. When I asked why they were doing this, the FIA officers kept laughing and making fun of me,” Sharif was quoted as saying.
