The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and NLEX Corporation today (February 19, 2021) formally opened the P1.6 billion, 8.2 km Subic Freeport Expressway (SFEX) expansion linking Bataan, Zambales, Pampanga and the rest of Central Luzon through the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.
NLEX Corp. built the new expressway despite the pandemic to accelerate business activities and facilitate the flow of goods between the economic zones in Clark and Subic.

+ February 19, 2021 THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and NLEX Corporation formally opened on February 19 the newly completed 8.2-kilometer Subic Freeport Expressway (SFEX) expansion.
The P1.6-billion new expressway project was constructed despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic in response to the need to accelerate business activities and facilitate the flow of goods and services between the economic zones in Clark and Subic.
