A UNION SPOKESPERSON SAYS IF SOMETHING IS NOT DONE THAT NUMBER IS GOING TO GO HIGHER AND COULD BRING WITH IT SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES. WE ARE APPROACHING CRISIS LEVELS OF STAFFING. REPORTER: ONLY 4 MONTHS INTO THE YEAR, LOUISVILLE METRO CORRECTIONS HAS LOST 19 EMPLOYEES. WE HAVE LOST 81 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE THIS YEAR ALONE AND WE ARE JUST STARTING THE SECOND QUARTER. Officials identify man killed in shooting outside Shively business Share Updated: 3:28 PM EDT Apr 4, 2021 WLKY Digital Team Share Updated: 3:28 PM EDT Apr 4, 2021 WLKY Digital Team The coroner has identified the man shot and killed outside a business in Shively.Savon Murphey and a 16-year-old girl were shot on March 26 near Crums Lane and Park Row Drive in front of Wing Station.The 20-year-old later died at the hospital. The teenager survived. Court records say she required pelvic surgery, as a result of the shooting. Investigators believe the shooting started inside the business after an altercation between Darius Calloway Jr. and Murphey.According to arrest records, Calloway Jr. shot Murphey as he went inside the restaurant. Murphey stumbled outside of the restaurant, and Calloway continued firing as he followed him, the citation says.
