Stonehill softball coach, Brockton police Lt LeGrice dies of cancer

BROCKTON  Longtime Brockton police officer and decorated Stonehill College softball coach Kenneth LeGrice died Wednesday after a long and courageous battle with cancer, the college announced. He was 62. Words cannot begin to express the significant impact Ken has had on so many in the Stonehill community during his 17 years with us as a coach, and his contributions to Stonehill and the Brockton community will forever be felt and remembered,  Stonehill Director of Athletics Dean O Keefe said in a statement. LeGrice, a West Bridgewater resident and 34-year veteran of the Brockton Police Department who began his career in the city in June of 1986, died early Wednesday in a Boston hospital. LeGrice began his career with the Avon Police Department.
