The non-profit donated reusable bags to local businesses to hand out to their customers. As part of Dig Awareness Month, they also hosted a special tree planting event. The seven live oak trees were donated by Atmos and planted at McKinney Park Thursday. KOB also distributed 30 trees to attendees. KOB also held a gathering to help plant a vegetable, herb and flower garden at the T.L. Booth Head Start Center. The non-profit says this is a new component of its mission, helping to build sustainable communities.
